Then there's this

Today was supposed to be day zero.
Transplant day.

Instead, its the day of questions.....
Trying to figure out the next step.

The day of praying....
for quick resolve....
for answers.....

It feels like the days of praying for answers are countless....
Like in the past five years it has been my loudest cry....

Today....
I cannot help but be sad.
Cannot help but feel a sense of emptiness.

Today I have decided that dressing my daughter in a tutu is the only logical solution.
So I did.

Today there are many things to worry about....
Today there is stress....
Today there is plenty of unknown......
Today there is pain.....

and then there's this...............

Blurry Cell Phone pic.....but adorable none the less.

  1. Dearest Amanda...as I read your posts from just this month alone, I am stunned at your succinct writing. It puts me right into your heart, or at least where you want your readers to be. We are praying for little Parklen, as well as for you and the rest of your family. No one knows what tomorrow will hold except our dear Lord, and as you have written, it is only He that knows where the road leads. Although we must follow, what a blessing it is to know Him as the driver, your Saviour! Just keep looking toward Him, the author and finisher of your faith, no matter what direction you will be going. Each day is a fresh new start, a fresh new beginning with Paysen, Parklen and Phinlynn, with each blessing of each child that God has given you. He has also given you the strength that you need for each day for each one of your precious little ones...all you need to do is ask for it, but then again, I'm not telling you anything new. Sometimes we just need a reminder---at least I do!

We love you, and will continue to pray for all five of you. May God bless you!

    Love, Lisa Brooks

Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

Psalm 36:7 "How excellent is thy loving kindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings."
